I went home for the Holy Week and pretended to be a tourist in my hometown

Well, not really. I prolly just looked like one.

Although I was born and raised in La Union, I never really got to enjoy it this much. I shied away from all cultural events plus I never really got to learn Ilocano. But ever since my sister and I decided to move to Manila for cake, I've been wanting to familiarize myself with my province so I don't become a complete stranger to it every time I go home. Sooooo, here is what I did!

Well, actually, the first thing I did was completely unrelated to my awesome vacation. I had to deliver a monster cake to someone from there. :) Stitch, the bunny (according to my auntie), says hello!

Thanks to this monster, I had money to spend! Which I never got to use anyway 'cause everything was free, care of my Ate Gwen and parents. woohoo!

Gwen took me surfing in Sebay, San Juan. I've surfed ONCE before. Imagine? I live in the surfing capital of the bilibins and I've only surfed once! And that was after I graduated from college.

I had to brush up my non-existent surfing skillzz and my surf instructor, Jericho, didn't mind teaching me despite my slowness and fear of jellyfish. HAHA seriously. I don't want anyone peeing on my body parts. :|

After a couple of falls, and some instances where I swallowed water through my nose, I finally got the hang of it again! The waves weren't that strong so I got a little sea sick. They were supposed to give us two hours for the price of one but I swear I felt so nauseated that I didn't wanna risk throwing up on the surf board. gross.
look at how amused I am.

Aside from surfing, I got a henna tattoo which I absolutely love! It's specially designed for the crazeh cake girl. My high school friend, Sheena, coerced me to get one.
Isn't it lovely??? Although, someone mistook it as cheese. O___o
Sheena with her tattoo artist! She got a butterfly tattoo which she is currently removing because apparently, nurses can't have tattoos! HAHA

After beach bumming and whatnot, I went home on Easter Sunday in a crowded pickup truck. The normal 4-5 hour trip turned into an 8-hour trip of hell with my dog and two other people at the back.

Now it's back to reality! And my reality right now is to try and tame all the inappropriateness in our facebook page. IMAGINE, people call each other feces over a Big Gay Rainbow Cake? So much for the happiness. Oh well. More on that later.
